Ian Stewart, designer of the Thematic theme, recently announced that the Thematic version 0.9.5 has been released. With this update are a number of new features and refinements, some of which are listed below:
- Extension files in the library are now better organized and documented
- Each default widget area is now hookable
- Hook before and after the main loops (may be useful for magazine themes)
- Default widgets are no longer coded in the sidebar template files
- More dynamic body classes
Hopefully these new changes will make it even easier for developers to create awesome new Thematic child themes.
