Justin Tadlock, designer of the Hybrid theme, recently announced that Hybrid 0.6 has been released. This release has a number of new features, a lot of which are WordPress 2.8 specific. Unfortunately with all these new features, the latest version of Hybrid is not backwards compatible with previous versions of WordPress.

The release of WordPress 2.8 “Baker” was just announced. Visually, it looks almost the same as WordPress 2.7, however it is supposed to be a lot faster than previous versions. WordPress 2.8 also fixes a number of bugs and also adds a number of new features.
